  • The Chaos Engine (Soldiers of Fortune) - by Jqoo

    Introduction:

Some crazy scientist invented the Chaos Engine, a strange device that could create any animal or living thing. First, it was used for good. Then the machine went berserk and started mutating humans and other living things. Six people (Soldiers of Fortune) where sent to stop the “Chaos Engine.” That is about it.

    Graphics [6/10]:

The graphics are not very detailed at all. They don’t look super-bad but they are just so-so. The view is a little weird and the bullets are little dots. The menus look nice but it isn’t good enough. The character sprites and the monsters look very queer. They are supposed to look scary but they are just little pieces of junk walking around.

    Music and Sound [5/10]:

The Music is just like the graphics. They are just so-so. The stupid voices that they have are not clear. I think the guy says “Breyers Activated.” What is that supposed to mean? The music and sounds are repetitive and dumb. Turn down the volume; you’ll thank me later.

    Game Play [7/10]:

The game play is probably the highlight of the game. The controls can be twitchy and unresponsive, but the game can be somewhat fun. Trying to figure out the puzzles can be fun and just shooting the bad guys may be fun. But sometimes it can be very boring. You may walk around and backtrack to kill more guys. It isn’t bad and it isn’t great.

    Challenge/Replay [3/10]:

This game is way too hard. You only have two lives {which means about 4-7 hits}. Leveling up your character doesn’t make a difference. You will never beat this game. The monster’s bullet things go twice the distance than your gun. How can you replay the game if you can’t get by the 4th level? There are 3 Worlds with many levels in them. This is the worst aspect of this game.

    Conclusion/Overall [4/10]:

This game looks like it was rushed and came out very poorly. If you are very bored you may want to try this game’s frustrating game play. Maybe if you can find some Game Genie codes or some passwords, the game could be fun. I don’t recommend this game.
